Dr. Se Mang (Simon) Wong

Dr. Wong graduated from UBC’s Medical School. After completing a rotating internship in Victoria, he completed a year of internal medicine back in Vancouver. He then worked as a general practitioner doing locums and working at walk-in clinics. Dr. Wong then switched to cardiac assist work at Royal Columbian Hospital, then returned to complete his dermatology residency at UBC.
Currently, Dr. Wong has a medical and surgical general dermatology practice in New Westminster, BC. He provides on-call dermatology services for Vancouver Coastal Health Authority. Additionally, he has been providing visiting dermatology consultation services to Whitehorse, YK since 2010.
Dr. Wong is a Clinical Associate Professor at UBC, and has been the Director of Undergraduate Education for the Department of Dermatology and Skin Science since 2012. He teaches medical students and residents regularly. He is the co-director of a combined psychiatry and dermatology clinic at Mount St. Joseph’s Hospital, and is a board member of the Canadian Hidradenitis Suppurativa Foundation.
