Dr. Asha Patel Shah

Director of Medical Sciences for Skin Health, Kenvue

Asha Patel Shah is the Director of Medical Sciences for Skin Health at Kenvue. Asha is the senior cross-functional medical leader shaping Skin Health opportunities, collaborations, innovation, and ventures.
Asha joined Kenvue from Johnson & Johnson/Janssen Pharmaceuticals, where she was involved in late-stage clinical drug development and supported the data sciences division working on innovating clinical trial designs.
Prior to industry, Asha enjoyed practicing the entire spectrum of adult & pediatric dermatology which included expertise in complex medical dermatology, cosmetic dermatology, and surgical dermatology. She has co-authored several textbook chapters and numerous articles in peer-reviewed medical journals. She also pioneered various US-based synchronous and asynchronous teledermatology networks in the private, commercial, and government sectors.
Asha earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology (BS) and Doctor of Medicine with Research Distinction (MD) from the University of Miami’s 6-year Honors Program in Medicine. In training, she completed the prestigious Clinical Research Training Program at the National Institutes of Health. She went on to complete her Dermatology Residency as Chief Resident from Columbia University. Asha is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology (ABD) and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (FAAD). She also received her Master of Business Administration from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill Kenan-Flagler School of Business (MBA). She maintains an Adjunct Assistant Professorship of Dermatology at Emory University and holds teaching privileges at Grady Memorial Hospital. She currently lives in Atlanta, Georgia USA with her family.
