Dr. Kwatra is the Joseph W. Burnett Endowed Professor and Chairman of Dermatology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore, MD, USA. Professor Jerry Shapiro is the first dermatologist to devote his entire practice to the study of hair. His career spans over 36 years. He is presently the Director of Disorders of the Hair and Scalp at New York University in Manhattan. He has published over 250 peer reviewed scientific articles including the New England Journal of Medicine, and has published over 40 book chapters on trichologic medicine. He also has written 4 textbooks in 4 different languages. He has presented over 600 lectures world wide on 6 continents. He has trained 40 Hair Fellows from 4 continents. He was the first to set up a comprehensive hair fellowship, which combined clinical, surgical and basic science skills. He now has one of the busiest hair practices in the world in New York City with a global clientele. He has been interviewed by major TV networks and magazines including USA Today, ABC News, Men's Health, Oprah Magazine, Dr. Oz, and Scientific American. He was President of the World Congress of Dermatology in 2015 and President of the World Congress of Hair Research in 2007. He was President of the American Hair Research Society from 2003-2006.

Dr. Poelman is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Calgary and is co-director of Beacon Dermatology, a centre of excellence in hidradenitis suppurativa. She has been in practice in dermatology for over 15 years. She is past president of the Canadian HS Foundation and on the planning committee for the Symposium on HS Advances annual meeting. She has been an invited speaker at national and international meetings and volunteers on an international HS steering committee to represent Canada and raise awareness of HS globally. Dr. Charles Lynde is an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Toronto. He is the Chief Medical Director of Lynde Institute for Dermatology and Lynderm Research. The Lynde Institute for Dermatology is a full service, interdisciplinary dermatology clinic. After receiving his B.Sc. and MD, degrees at the University of Toronto, Dr. Lynde studied Dermatology at the University of British Columbia and the University of Toronto, receiving his Board Certification (Canada and USA) in 1983.
Lynderm Research is under the guidance of Dr. Lynde as principal investigator for more than 30 years and over 350 clinical trials and is actively involved in the management of alopecia, vitiligo, psoriasis, rosacea, onychomycosis, acne, and atopic dermatitis among other dermatological conditions. Dr. Lynde has authored over 250 peer-reviewed articles.
Dr. Lynde has served in various roles for the CDA and AAD, including President of the Canadian Dermatology Association. He is the Editor of the CDA eBulletin and sits on the editorial boards of several journals and provides extensive consulting as well as being on the advisory boards of many pharmaceutical companies. Dr. Lynde is a frequent guest speaker both nationally and internationally at various dermatological conferences. Recognizing the need for external education he is committed to the training of new and current healthcare professionals in his community and residents through the university program.

Dr. Mark Kirchhof is the Division Head of Dermatology in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Ottawa and The Ottawa Hospital. After receiving his Bachelor of Science in molecular biology from McMaster University, Dr. Kirchhof completed his medical degree and PhD at Western University in London, Ontario. His PhD research involved studies of the signalling pathways important to immune system regulation. He then went on to complete his dermatology residency at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Until August 2017, Dr. Kirchhof was the Education Director at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, where he coordinated and led undergraduate, post-graduate and continuing medical education activities.
