Professor Sean Whittaker

Professor Sean Whittaker is a Consultant Dermatologist at St Johns Institute of Dermatology, Guys and St Thomas’ Hospital, with clinical and academic interests in cutaneous lymphoma and melanoma.
He was appointed Professor of Cutaneous Oncology in the School of Basic and Medical Biosciences at Kings College London in 2007, and has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals on the
molecular pathogenesis of cutaneous lymphomas.
He is currently Medical Director for the NHS South East England Genomic Medicine Service and Laboratory Hub and Co-Director of the King's Health Partners (KHP) Comprehensive Cancer Centre for South East London.
His previous leadership roles include Clinical Director for the Specialist Ambulatory Directorate at Guys and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust; Co-Lead for the Genetics, Rheumatology, Infection, Immunology and Dermatology (GRIID) Clinical Academic Group; Chair for NHS England Clinical Reference Group (CRG) and Lead for Skin Cancer; Chair of the European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) Cutaneous Lymphoma Task Force; President of the International Society of Cutaneous Lymphomas (ISCL).
