Primary Care Pharmacist
Aaron Sihota is a Primary Care Pharmacist and Clinical Instructor at the UBC Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences. As part of a specialized collaborative pharmacy that focuses in outcome based immunotherapy and dermatology services, Aaron works in collaboration with a group of specialist physicians and nurses to educate, monitor, and optimize patient medication therapy leveraging emerging digital health technology.
Aaron is the co-creator of the Dermatology, Cosmeceuticals and Topical Compounding course at the UBC Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences. The first offering of its kind in North America, this course explores healthy aging of the skin including evidence-based assessment, treatment and therapeutic monitoring of acne, atopic dermatitis, wrinkles, scars, and discoloration of the skin by the pharmacist.
He is a regular skincare columnist for Pharmacy Practice and Business magazine and retains an interest in the role of vehicle formulation and delivery design having extensive topical compounding training. Aaron has served as a strategic consultant with the College of Pharmacists of BC as well as the BC Pharmacy Association and BC Ministry of Health.
He is regularly called on to participate at forums across North America to explore trends and innovation in healthcare delivery and dermatology.
